The Portax series is one of Böckmann's robust anodized aluminum class. Created for horses up to 1.85m/18hands, the Portax design offers features that the other Böckmann series do not. A front panoramic window, allowing you to see your horse and your horse to see you! Built on the superior WCF Chassis- coils spring & trailing arm suspension with additional shock and rubber dampers means your horse will not fatigue from road chatte.Roof vents,lateral sliding windows, front chest bar padding, and side wall padding inside an open and airy design with lots of natural light- a comfortable space for long rides or short. NEW- the rear Door-Ramp Combo is a standard feature for the Portax Series- converts the entry rear ramp into a swing door for ease of loading hay, pallets of shavings or feed...and doubles as a step-up entry!

Well protected by the anodization process, the Portax models offer a traditional horse trailer with full "person" height groom doors, or a model with both a rear and front loading ramp, with all the standard safety features for horse and rider, built on a galvanized steel chassis. The fibreglass portions of the trailers (roof and front bow) come in a standard silver colour. Other fibreglass colours are available in matte red, white or yellow;or metallic colours of red, navy, green and black.

You can choose between models with only rear loading or units with the rear entry and front off-ramp. All models offer tack compartments of varying styles. NEW: the 2015 Innovation Award winning swivel carousel in the Portax E- allowing access from both groom doors. NEW:In the Portax K, the saddle racks swivel out to meet you at the groom door. The Portax Professional offers a full height tack cupboard, while The Big Portax sports it own Tack Room.

Chassis:

Built from hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis, the Portax E now rides on the World Class Suspension Chassis System (WCF- Plus) - a coil spring suspension with added shocks, and rubber damper for an ultra smooth ride for the horse. An automatic jockey wheel mounted on an integrated lockable 2" coupler allows the rider to easily raise or lower the chassis frame for hitching purposes and moving the trailer by hand around the yard.

Body:

Anodized aluminum web profile panel side walls - 2100 mm high - always a silver finish-topped with a metallic silver roof is the standard look. Different roof colours are available (accessory). The rear loading ramp is a full 5' in length with gas shocks as lifting assists.Newly added is a Door-Ramp Combination- allowing the conversion to a full swing door - for a step-up enry for horses, or using your trailer to move hay. Two steps on rear ramp allows you to step up and control the canvas lift with integrated net. Böckmann anodized aluminum flooring provide strength and longevity. The trailer front is wedge shape with a fiberglass front bow which holds the saddle storage area. A full height groom door on each side of the trailer for easy access to the horses.. Panoramic front window, lateral sliding windows, and roof vent provide lots of light, and air flow control. The inner stall offers padded walls and a bright white roof colour. Two 33" stalls comfortably fit the most generous girth of horses to 18hds. The rubber flooring is glued and sealed to the anodized aluminum floor beneath. The loading ramp is covered with rubber integrated safety treads and side stops - preventing slipping in inclement weather. The Multi-Safe anti-panic stall bar system allows you to adjust height of the stall bars and the length of the stall. In an emergency the chest and rear bars can be released from outside the trailer. The chest bars have additional black foam bar padding. The transparent PVC partition is mounted on tubular galvanized steel, and is easily swiveled left or right to accommodate a more open stall space for loading. Interior lighting is found in both the stall area and tack storage. Black lateral kick plates complete the inside stall walls.

Optional Saddle chest in either English or Western version contains 2 saddle racks on a swiveling carousel, hooks, a net on the door, a broom with telescopic handle and a plastic shovel. Ask your Dealer for details!!

The Saddle cupboard contains 2 telescopic post saddle racks suitable for English saddles, hooks, 1 net + 2 mirrors on the door, a broom with telescopic handle and a plastic shovel. A light in the tack cupboard makes unloading at night a breeze.

Standard Features: Portax L SKA

External + Stall Access to Tack Cupboard in this extended version of the regular Portax SKA

Same great build as the Portax SKA, the L-version extends the body a further 63cm, offering 2 access doors into this trailer and feed bucket mounts on each side of the trailer. Two lateral windows on each side of the trailer + roof vent = great air flow!

The front walk-off ramp is farther forward on this model allowing more room for larger horses to exit out the front of the trailer. Two lateral windows on each side of the trailer + roof vent = great air flow!

Internal Space:

This longer version of the regular Portax K Model is perfect for transporting larger horses. The additional 63cm ahead of the chest bar allows the larger horse to step forward and swing across the front of the trailer to exit out the forward ramp.. The additional floor space also offers room to take additional hay or a larger tack trunk!

Full height small Dressing Room in the anterior section of the trailer!

Body:

Following the general build of the regular Portaxes, the LSR model takes advantage of the addiotnal 63cm to create a full dressing space. Two doors allow access to the horse stall. a full wall creates a stall space best suited for horses less than 16.2. Entrance door to the dressing room is from the curbside of the trailer. Additonal windows in the dressing room are possible, as is an optional door between the dressing room and horse stall.

Internal Space:

The inner stall offers padded walls and a bright white roof colour, two lateral sliding windows on each side of the trailer + roof vent makes keeping the environment cool for the hroses. Portable feeding troughs can be mounted on each door,

The Dressing Room houses 2 tubular steel swivelling saddle racks suitable for Engish and Western saddles. More racks can be installed at factory. A flip-up seat and boot jack make preparing for your ride a breeze. Whip holders, feed trough storage, 2 steel shelves, and many hooks, as well as the standard broom and shovel are also on board.

The trailer front is 6.5' anteroom with a fiberglass front bow which holds the storage area. A full height groom door on each side enters the horse stalls, and a full height door with window on the curb side enters the Tack Room. Complete with 7 snaffle hooks, 2 saddle racks, a light, a window in the groom door, and a portable step for ease of access, the front storage room can also have an additional window added on the left and an access door between storage room and horse stall. Mirrors, storage nets, broom and shovel are also included..
